This site is a minimalist view of a minimalist website of miscellaneous horse related stuff from Brent Seufert
I may never get around to making a nice site, so here is some content :})
"At Bolsin" is a Turkoman saying the means either "May your horse find a way" or "May your horse always win", depending on who you ask. I like the second version! I heard and used it may times in the Turkoman steps of North East Iran.
"Turkoman" or "Turkmen". I've heard these and other names used to describe the Turkic peoples living on the Turkoman Steppe. I preffer to use Turkoman primarily because it was the first one I heard, and I like the way it rolls around the pallet.... Any spelling mistakes or Misspellings related to my poor interpretation of the Turkoman pronunciation are entirely my own, and I'm proud of them!
Videos are all in Quicktime format (or more importantly, H.264) because I get great video at a highly compress video stream. You can get the QuickTime player here: Apple QuickTime. They will also play on your IPOD video player.
I'll be posting more, so come back soon. If you have any comments, you can contact me at Brent-Seufert_AT_techwest-com (my lame attempt to decrease the spam I get so remove the "_" change the "-" to "." and change the AT to @ )
Videos of My trips to Iran in 1999, 2001, and 2004. I have many hours of horse videos, both Caspian, Turkoman and others. I've picked a few minutes out of my favorite bits.
